Most GPU capacity reaches the market through at least one resale layer. Somebody builds the cluster, somebody else sells time on it, and when performance is not what the datasheet implied, the two are not the same company.
Board Sea has deployed more than 1,700 GPU servers — rack-scale GPU systems across multiple platform generations, GPU servers and general-purpose servers — with InfiniBand and RoCE switching and enterprise storage sized for model training workloads. That work was done by our own engineers, to vendor specification, through a four-phase delivery model.
The largest of them is a 64-server rack-scale cluster delivered for a Tier-1 data centre operator at its Malaysian data centre — the first of its scale in Asia-Pacific. It was racked, cabled, commissioned and handed over by the same teams that watch it now.
That is the whole argument. Day 2 operations are running today in Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia, staffed by resident L1 and L2 engineers rather than fly-in contractors. When something needs attention, the people who answer are the people who built it.
